TODAY I saw an awful dark GRAY banner above my and EVERYBODY's picture who has downloaded and added (YouTube) music, or a color in their text (or a side meter) to their portfolio
(SEE IMAGE.)
I'm not a paying member of ArtWanted for so much distress. My artwanted website is my portfolio for galleries and for my students.
Lately interested people, costumers, galleries and my students couldn't reach my artwanted portfolio at all. And now this....
REQUEST:
Please take out that awful gray banner with text above my paintings, and give paying ArtWanted members the privilege to just design their portfolio as beautiful and professional as they want. That was one of the reasons I'm a member of artwanted.
Hope to hear from you soon.
Love and Light~ OLGA
With the increase in recent downtime for ArtWanted.com, we wanted to take some time to apologize to our members for the time when our website is unavailable and also share some additional information with everyone about this issue.
As many of you have noticed, for about the last month our site has been experiencing periods of unavailability. From our website logs we can see that this started on Aug. 14th and has been going on randomly for about the last month. Some days we have 100% uptime, but other days we experience periods where our website is down or very slow.
We want to make sure our members know that this recent downtime is not related to the new website design that was launched in mid-July. The downtime did not start happening until about a month after the new site launched.
Since the unexpected downtime started, our network administrators and developers have been pouring over server log files, website analytics, SQL queries and website code to determine what is causing the website to go down. Through this research, we have found a handful of things that were causing poor performance or errors on the site and our top priority right now is to fix those issues. Once these issues are resolved, we expect to be back up and running like normal where you can surf ArtWanted.com quickly and error-free.
While we are on the topic, we also want to mention the difference between the website being down and an ‘oops’ error you may get. When the website is down, you will be unable to get to any page on the site with any Internet browser. This is when a major error occurs and none of the pages will be available. If you get an ‘oops’ error while on the site, this is usually a specific error related to the page you are on or the action you are performing. We record and track every ‘oops error’ that happens on the site and our development staff works on resolving those issues on a daily basis. If you get an ‘oops’ error on a page, you should be able to browse other areas of ArtWanted.com without any problem.
We want to assure our members that your private information is safe and secure on our site and that our top priority right now is dedicated to making sure our website is up and available for our members to use. We again want to apologize for those that have been affected by any website outages and you have our commitment that we will not stop working until we have brought a close to this issue and you can enjoy ArtWanted.com without service interruptions. Thank you for your patience and support and we expect to have things back up to normal shortly!
