Original Post: Changing Your Name

We have just updated our EDIT CONTACT INFO page to allow our members to change their account display name and/or their ArtWanted.com username/URL.

To change either of these options, simply click the "Change Name" or "Change Username" link next to the field you want to change on your bio page. This will open a pop-up box to allow you to update your account name or username to something else that you prefer.

If your USERNAME is changed, this will change your account login as well as your ArtWanted.com URL (www.ArtWanted.com/username) - Usernames must be unique and not taken by another member for them to be changed.

Your ACCOUNT NAME can be your real name or an artist alias that you like to go by. We suggest that you use your real name, so you can gain exposure and recognition from your name over time.

NOTE: Members are allowed to change their account name one time on their own. After this, account name changes need to be requested by contacting us. This is to control the issue of members trying to change their ArtWanted.com identity multiple times for malicious purposes.
