Thanks Andrew and Hinsel!

I just sat down, popped in the Lord of the Rings Triology, and started painting.

Let's see how Frodo and Sam deal with Komodo's and freakin' Terror Birds...

Original Post: 18,000 B.C. - sketch

Hello all,

Well, I'm moving on from Mac-n-Cheese and have been fascinated by the recent discovery of the "Hobbit" species...Homo Floresiensis, in Indonesia. They were actually Homo Erectus that got isolated on a tropical island with many fantastical creatures and evolved into tiny humans (because of the lack of food). Supposedly they lived until about 12,000 years ago and interacted with modern humans. I'm not going to get into all of it, but here is a sketch for my next oil painting.

Before I start painting, does this work? I want it to be all "tropically" with the 2 species interacting somehow.

Thanks!
