No I haven't read that Herb but I do have a book with some of the art work in, thats how I know of it.

I loved the Avengers Gabriel, I watched it from the very start till it finished, and I still miss it. I have an Avengers Annual from the 70's as well :)

I think your manipulation is wonderful and very smooth. If there wasn't any visible effects of it then we wouldn't of known that you had altered it. Thank you for posting the before and after versions so everyone can see them :D
