Because you intend to send it to a great exhibition you must believe that it expresses your intended purpose-and by all means do not let others feedback or lack of feedback influence your decision. Much of modern art is intended to make the viewer think- not to provide eye candy, to look pretty, or to offer well known images that the viewer has familiarity with. It can be difficult to critique such works. At first I was uncertain as to exactly what I was looking at- only after reading the explanation did I see that a portion of the painting illustrates a window. My only suggestion would be to perhaps warp the bottom of the window into the chin instead of having it go to the bottom of the canvas. Paint on!
