One has to consider the slavery and abuse to native Africans on behalf of the slave trade!

Livingston was the first to document this murderous abuse by slave traders who roamed Africa murdering people in order to consume more and more native African men for slaves ion the business of the international trade of Ivory!

Original Post: Ivory Not an Art Material

Ivory is no good as art.

I'm hereby stating my official position as an active conscientious objector against the use of ivory as a commodity or "art object" as it is not art but a crime against nature to do so.

Jewelry, trinkets, sculpture, antiques and anything made from ivory in the 21st century is immoral. Even faux ivory jewelry and other ivory look alike trinkets ads to the suffering of elephants as it promotes ivory as useful by people around the world in fashion and art or as a valuable object financially.

Pressure needs to be exerted on anyone or anybody either directly or indirectly involved in the purchasing of or selling of ivory either old or new. All who are are involving themselves collectively either directly or indirectly in the extinction of the entire Elephant species.

Each elephant is a family member with relatives and loving friends and do not deserve such disrespect as humans bestowed upon them.

I ask artists in particular to speak up against the use of ivory in any form even if it means damaging friendships with those who wear jewelry made from it.
