Original Post: Mermaid

Well I was going to start a painting or two before getting into the clay again, but last night I was sitting watching TV and didn't want to get into any serious painting .. since I know with my lack of self control that I'd probably be up all night painting ... unable to stop ...

So I picked up a small ball of clay and started my mermaid's head. I wasn't sure on how I planned on going about the armature or on the best way to start this one.

As usual I just start and let it tell me what to do next. I roughed out the face and then figured I would need to build the armature before I could go any further.
