Original Post: Trades!

Vivian made a comment in another thread that she was offered bongo lessons for a painting...got me to thinking...

What have you been offered or accepted in trade for your paintings?

My hair "goddess" and I have an ongoing "hair color/extensions for mural work" agreement. (Maybe I'll do funky red skinny dreads next time, then NOBODY will believe I'm coming up on my 40-somethingth birthday! LOL)

I've also traded my art for antiques or jewelry or work on my car; my tattoo skills for a leather biker jacket and dinner, a guitar, and an offer of a huge beautiful Veiled Chameleon (I was moving, so I couldn't accept that one - darn it!). Then there's those offers of the unsavory kind...s.e.x. (never took anybody up on one of those- geeeesh!). I've been offered mural jobs out of state for the plane ticket and a stay in their house. I won't do that unless I know the person. Almost forgot - belly-dancing lessons for art! The gal is still my friend!

The best is still: trading art for ca$h to pay the rent. Let's hear your trade stories!
