I think you have some very good points I joined and was a free member for about 4 yrs now I am paying member and chose to keep my ratings on I do agree with why so many turned theres off and respect there choice When I see a lot of artist say if you do not like the ratings turn them off as there answer to everything I don't think this will solve anything in the long run my personal view I feel Artwanted should advise all new members in depth how the rating system works and how to get there own art work to the level they would like to be at This way they are all advised how to use numbers 1-4 and may save a lot of stress for others in the future
I know when I joined I knew a flat nothing about anything on this site there was some very nice artists who are now friends who helped me understand it all
We can not screen the people that join
Artwanted can advise them That way they have the knowledge to start in the right direction at the start
A lot of new member get slammed mostly for lack of knowledge and I feel this is unfair to them
They need to know that many artist worked hard to get there rating up to a ten level
to use the skip button if they disagree
to also look at the artist work and see if there is something they do like to help this artist maintain there ratings
This way we could be helping each other
I know we would still get a few odd ones
There are a lot of new and older artists out there who are really nice people
We need to make this site a WELCOME PLACE TO SHARE IN ALL ASPECTS OF ART AND FRIENDSHIP

THIS IS JUST AN IDEA THAT MAY WORK HOW ABOUT WE HAVE AN A TO J LETTER VOTING SYSTEM WHERE WE ALL STAY EQUAL
A BEING NUMBER ONE CHOICE AND J BEING NUMBER TEN CHOICE
WE USE THESE LETTERS TO RATE AND NOT HAVE THEM OPEN FOR PUBLIC VIEW
WE MUST LEAVE A COMMENT ON THE ARTIST WORK IF WE CHOSE TO RATE IT BEING A TO J LIKE WHEN WE REQUEST A COMMENT ON OUR WORK NOW TO BE ABLE TO RATE IT
AT THE END OF THE DAY ALL RATINGS BASED ON NUMBER OF HITS AND RATES RECEIVED
THIS WOULD AVOID BAD RATINGS AND A ONE IN TEN CHANCE OF BEING TOP TEN FOR THE DAY EQUAL FOR ALL
THE SKIP BUTTON USED FOR THOSE WHO DO NOT WANT TO COMMENT
WHEN WE VOTE FOR A PUBLIC SERVANT WE DO NOT SEE THE VOTES TILL THE END OF THE DAY
CAN WE APPLY THIS POLICY HERE
THIS WOULD AVOID CONFUSION AND CONSTANT DEBATES OVER HOW AND WHO DID WHAT
