At the risk of "asking a dumb question" does the original have to be 2.5 x 3.5 or does the size only apply to the actual card? I have some larger paintings that I was thinking of making into artcards but wanted to be sure first.
The ACEO rule is that the card be 2.5 x 3.5 inches. There is no other rule. Obviously if it is an original it should by all accounts be that size.
If you are thinking of making prints from your larger works... all you need to keep in mind is that the end product is an ACEO. (2.5 x 3.5 " standard size)
You may want to use artcardswanted.com to make your prints online - they have great print quality and fair pricing. And be sure to state if your print is an open edition or a limited edition.
