Houston based painter Maria Alejandra Deleon was born in Mount Pleasant, TX and holds a BFA in painting and Communication Design from Texas State University.
Working in thin layers of acrylic paint and using found materials, Alejandra’s paintings investigate the structure of texture, color and our connection to the natural world. She has previously worked on location in El Salvador where she spent most of her childhood studying art with local artist.
In addition to painting, Alejandra has worked as a Graphic Designer for different companies in the Houston area and is currently working as a freelance graphic artist.
