“Painting for me is a life-long passion. When I start a painting, it takes on a life of its own, driven by the intensity of my imagination. It is a celebration of the magical world around us, both dream and reality. The canvas and I, together through painting, create an invisible energy current that flows between us, time has no meaning as I let each piece evolve and take form.

I work instinctively, allowing my paintings to evolve, like the ebb and flow of the sea. My fluid style demands that I be courageous and work quickly to capture the organic textures in a free—flowing evocative way. It is my burning desire to capture the essential quality of light that dances on the horizon creating a myriad of colours beneath the sea’s surface and hot and vibrant hues in the sky.

Weather patterns and cloud formations are constantly depicted in my work. The end result is a creation of energy whilst I paint that seemingly spills onto the canvas, powered by a desire to capture nature at its most awe-inspiring. The translation of light, contrast and texture is part of this animated process and allows the painting to evolve in an evocative way.

I have a deep connection to the ocean and my most recent work explores the rock formations along the shoreline and includes semi-precious gemstones and Swarovski crystals for their radiance and for the added infusion of light they transmit.
