Artist - Elizabeth Arlene Smith Elizabeth was born and raised in Tampa, Florida. She obtained a B. A. in Fine Arts from the University of South Florida in 1997. Elizabeth expresses herself through a wide variety of mediums which includes watercolors, acrylics, papier-mache, ink, color pencils, collages, etchings, mosaics, pastels, clay, plaster, and digital art. She accepts commissions of large scale paintings and murals. Her inspirations come from everyday life, childhood memories, imagination, and ideas from her mother. Most of her work consists of vivid colors with happy subject matters. Elizabeth is known locally in the Tampa Bay area for her decoratively painted papier-mache fish and her sports related artwork. In 2000 Elizabeth was invited to show in the Goodwill Games art exhibition in Lake Placid,NY. In 2001, Elizabeth worked with the "Tour of Turtles" public art display in the Tampa Bay area. The death of her mother in 2005 was extremely depressing for Elizabeth which resulted in a lost of interest in creating art. Since early 2005 Elizabeth has been working as a production artist for a company in Tampa and is slowly producing new artwork.
