Photographer, architect, musician, outdoor enthusiast, Brody was born and raised in the great state of Minnesota. With a four year stint in the suburbs of Chicago during high school, he made his way back to the University of Minnesota to earn his degrees in architecture and Spanish. At the age of 8, Brody obtained his first camera, and has been obsessed with capturing life as he sees it, on film ever since. As an avid outdoorsman, Brodys images instinctually flow towards nature and landscape photography. His images cover a wide range of subjects from architecture and the built environment, to still life and abstract. His main goal is to share the beauty of the world as seen through his eyes, and allow others to enjoy some of the finer things in life through the medium of photography. Brody created Left Hand Photography in 2002. After a near fatal motorcycle accident, the desire to be able to love ones work, and work towards something you love, was strong enough to stop that thought from simply existing as only a dream, and to become a reality. Although his work encompasses many different geographic areas, the majority of his images are taken from Minnesota. On a typical weekend, you might spot him trudging through the snow covered woods on a chilly winter day, wading through the marshes with a pair of chest waders on an early spring morning, exploring the never ending treasures of the city on a blistering summer afternoon, or heading deep into the boundary waters on a perfect fall evening, always with camera in hand.
