Self Portrait

Laurie Rohner is based in the US, nature fine artist known for detailed flower watercolors. She developed a technique applying watercolor designs to painted furniture. Using only the finest quality materials and techniques her paintings and custom painted furniture are investment pieces that will bring nature home for decades to come.

Laurie received a BA in Studio Arts, studying the fine art of printmaking, and specializing in painting and interior design. My very first love was working with watercolors. Andrew Wyeth’s egg tempera watercolors, the emotional work of Georgia O'Keeffe, Claude Monet, the intricate floral illustrations of Redoute and Durer etchings inspired my work.

Laurie's work experience includes being the head designer/owner of an NJ flower shop for over a decade, moving on to working closely with Sotheby's in NYC chair interior designer helping in the restoration of painted chairs, and opening her painting studio and furniture restoration business. Laurie has participated in many shows and fairs during her career, achieved awards for both her artwork and functional art furniture which is collected by many worldwide.
