Katerina louka is an awarded contemporary abstract artist based in Greece.Her paintings have been exhibited nationally, as well as in Italy, Spain, Austria and U.S.A. She has received prestigious awards in Greece at War Museum of Athens as well as in Italy and Spain.She has been published in many newspapers and magazines in Greece and abroad. Katerina creates acrylic artworks that share a spiritual perception of life in art, with light and dark subconscious elements and themes. She mainly uses acrylic colors and mixed media. Her work is known to contains layers, lots of texture, scratching and a wide variety of elements. She speaks the unspeakable through the exploration of various media, lines, colors, shapes and contrast. Her works have a physical philosophical and phycological approach. Through her art she offers her audience a glimpse into her inner world, sharing her personal journey, life and inspiration. Her paintings relay a mystical transcendental reality that is part of life. Katerina’s paintings capture the diversity of life to fullest extent; from moments of darkness, despair, fear to moments of light, happiness, joy and love.
