Julio Soares Nicolau Campos Born in Oporto, Portugal and resides in Lisbon. Nicolau is an associate member of the "Sociedade Nacional de Belas Artes" in Lisbon. From 1966 - 1971, Nicolau attended the Faculty of "Infante D. Henrique" and "Conde Ferreira" in the City of Porto, where he finished the course of "Industrial Design". Nicolau started his painting career as an autodidact. In 2001 - 2005 he took his degree in painting at the "Sociedade Nacional de Belas Artes". In 2004, Nicolau attended an intensive course of "sensibilization to modern and contemporary art, from CCB - Ministerio da Cultura
