The January moon is closer to the earth than in other months thus it appears to be larger. Some first nations peoples called this moon the "Wolf Moon".
It's easy to imagine hungry wolf packs howling nearby in the sub-zero cold of a snowy winter night. A thought to make you snuggle down deep into a warm comfortable bed.
