This one is a bit of a self portrait. Here's my little family sitting over the orchard on the Fourth. One of the things our wee border town does do well is a huge firework display over the lake we share with Canada. Though I gripe ever year about the expense of fireworks manufactured in a country that has such a horrid human rights history--that the money could be used in far better ways, I'm always deeply proud to be an American. Even more so when the Canadians join in the celebration from their lakeside homes. What fine neighbors our country has! God Bless America! Original 5 x 5 gallery-wrapped mini painting in the private collection of J. Durrance.
