A Rocking Horse

Oil colour on canvas. 48 inches by 36 inches. "A Rocking Horse at Boarding School". This painting represents my memory of friends and myself playing on a large wooden rocking horse at boarding school. In retrospect, the memory sends a chill down me. The rocking horse was an extremely dangerous contraption.We thought it fun to over load the horse by having as many people as possible on board while the rocking motion gathered speed.
