The moon shot was much easier than it looks. I set my camera on my tripod spot metered the center of the moon or the brightest part then I slowed my shutter speed to overexpose the moon and took a shot and the increased my shutter speed took a shot and so on till the moon was underexposed. I then uploaded the images to my computer and used a program called Photomatix to put all the exposures together into one photograph. Extreme bracketing for a high dynamic range photo.
