Artist Reply: Thank you for your comment. I have always had a fascination with the Colorado landscape and Colorado history. I grew up in Buena Vista, then spent most of my life somewhere else until I returned 5 years ago. I suppose that while you can't go home again, you can revisit it and renew your acquaintance with its richness and subtleties. In college I was a painting and drawing major but put away my brushes long ago. Thanks in large part to my daughter who is a painter in Seattle, I have started painting again and will be displaying some of my efforts here.
