Early Autumn at Kagamidaira

September 2009, North Alps, Japan. The colours of autumn have begun to turn at Kagamidaira (Mirror Flats). It was a rainy morning. I reached the flats during a slight break in the rain. But soon after the photo was captured, it began raining again. This photo was made with Velvia 50. The scan was framed with Gimp and shrunk with EasyThumnails.

Artist Reply: I couldn't resist that rock as a central focus point. I captured a few scenes from around here but only this scene had an anchoring rock.
