Fallen

I've had this piece on the go for quite a while now. Its still unfinished as I plan to put in a background some day (the background will obviously be bigger than this... but I would like some feedback before I work on it some more. Do you guys like the style? The overall look? Any suggestions/ comments/ critiques etc.? Its a bit of an experimental piece as I've never done anything quite like this before (except for the Dark and Scary picture in black and white pen). The hard shadows, yes, but never when those were the ONLY thing constructing the image (which is true if you look at it). Anyway, as already mentioned it is unfinished, I may make a few changes (although I highly doubt it) so, I'll see you all soon!

What an amazing artwork... *__* I ADORE hard shadows like this, especially when there're no outlines since it gives the impression of really powerful lighting! The amount of detail in the shadows is wonderful; I love all the details, from the broken halo to the feather fibres and the delicate details in the plait. ^_^ I think the image is striking just as it is with the white background since it really stands out, but if you still wish to put a background in then that'd be fine too. :D Gorgeous work, and if this was a deviantART gallery I'd fav this in an instant... ^.^

Wow Katie, this is probably one of my most favorite picture's I've seen you do. The detail is amazing and the wings, expression, and style of this piece. Yes, this one is definately favored. ^^
