Hi Shelley, may I ask a ? of you... I am a new member as of today, and have a few photos I'd like to add to my portfolio and make available for sale. Most all of my images I've added my Copyright message to the center of the image. My question then is this:
If one wants to purchase a photo/design, and it's listed as "for sale" - are they purchasing the one that's displayed, or is the owner/artist contacted and they then send the buyer a version WITHOUT the copyright stamp? I'm sure it's rather simple, but want to make sure I do it right... I don't like to have my photos up & out there without the stamp as I have had a few bad experiences with finding my images used a few places without my permission (stolen from its source on a web page), but I certainly don't want a buyer to get that one with the stamp on it, but a "clean" version instead...
Any ideas? Thanks for any help you can provide me.
Your print is GORGEOUS by the way!! :) T
Artist Reply: Hi Janet....I am new to this, but I only put up originals for sale...no prints. The buyer contacts me to buy the original. I'm sure if you have anything copyrighted, you have recourse. Don't know if I've been any help, but Thanks and good luck...Shelley
