Floating in time and space

This bark abstract belongs to my series of "Every Tree Tells a Story." I took several shots of this tree with my macro lens admiring the great colors, and imagery, a feast for the imagination. There are many stories embedded in the bark of this beautifully textured tree. I associated to floating after viewing the bottom central figure, a quirky dignified lady who appears to be suspended in space and time wearing a brown hat and what appears to me to be her animal companion enjoying the ride. One of my favorite books for children of all ages is A Wrinkle in Time written by Madeleine L' Engle. Could this be Mrs Whatsit, Mrs. Who or Mrs Which? I often pair my photography with classic children's literature. Using advanced technology I was fortunate to find a special planet where Meg and Charles continue their search for their father who was abducted by evil forces. More of my favorite books and photographs are on my list to upload to my portfolio. This is a great piece to project what you see. Although my projective abstracts derive from my experience administering the Rorschach, I also think of them as an amusing game of hidden pictures for kids of all ages. Have fun with your creative imagination!!
