Acrylic on box canvas [approx 40" x 28"] This picture is my representation of a varied and flourishing community. The multi-coloured and multi-styled houses reflect the differences and similarities that exist between people who live side by side on a daily basis [a theme that is echoed by the cat and the birds]. It is this diversity that hopefully makes for a colourful, vibrant and overall harmonious scene. The feeling of the picture borrows heavily from idealised childhood images of how a house and home look [no matter what type of house you grew up in] and so I hope this picture will strike a cord no matter where you live.
