The Hebrew in the center of the
Gospel illustration above (which
really should have been either
Aramaic or Greek) is the summary
of the entire Bible, "For God so
loved the World that he gave his
one and only son, that whoever
believes in him shall not perish but
have everlasting life." This verse
comes from the famous John 3:16
(I'm sure you've seen it in a
football stadium somewhere). The
old man pictured with Jesus is
Nicodemus, one of the religious
leaders who asked to meet with
Jesus one night to better
understand his teachings.
