Skeleton

Well, this is a painting I did for a class. I enjoyed painting it a lot. Hehe... I went crazy with the colors. Sorry for the very bad photo job. x.o; I need to get a better picture of it.

His eyes are deep holes that seem to drag you in; his nose echoes that emptiness; but his teeth almost look like a cheerful grin--great contrast--the grey beside his teeth makes him look grim. The colors are muted, almost somber, which gives a feeling of doom or death. The colors in the background are darker, which also hints at the darkness of death. The ribcage seems a little large, but I'm not a doctor, so I could be wrong. I like the overall impression. Good work!

i am not really crazy about the colors. I think if you wanted to go crazy with the colors then you should have went REALLY CRAZY with the colors. The colors generally look the same and they look really dull. I'm not sure if that is because its not such a great photograph but you should had added a lot more colors if that is what you were going for. I also think the skeleton head needs just enough attention as the rib cage. The mouth on the skeleton head itsn't very clear and i think you should have defined that more like you did with the eyes and nose. I also don't really understand its environment. Sorry all these negative comments but i am just trying to help.
