Today Israel celebrates 61st Independence Day.
"100 Years of the First Hebrew City (Tel Aviv-Jaffa)" is the theme for 61st year of Israel's Independence.
April 2009 marks the 100th anniversary of the city of Tel Aviv.

It looks as if the city is hugging the coastline. It has such a contemporary look, contrasting with the ancient buildings in the foreground. Israel is such a country of contrasts, so fragile, yet so solid. May it know peace one day.lillianhibiscus 29 Apr 2009
