Last April my cousin & I accompanied our mothers, who are in their 80's, on a trip through France. They were tracing the path my grandfather followed at the end of WW1, based on his diary. Of course we made a few detours along the way. In all honesty I can't say if Vezelay was on his path or one of our detours. Quaint and charming do not even begin to describe this beautiful little village, set high upon a hill with commanding views in every direction! First you must wander up the streets leading to the hill top and each and every step of the way is a delight to the senses! Oil on canvas ~ Size 11 x 14
