This one, too, is Keladry from Tamora Pierces quartet 'Protector of the Small'. She (Keladry) is supposed to be worshipping a goddess (I know her name, the godesses, but I can't remember it). I like it but she is a bit to scantily clad, as the books are supposed to children/young adult books. But it is one of my favs.
