Early Morning Palayan

Rice fields (or "palayan") in Davao Del Sur, Mindanao, Philippines - near the foot-hills of Mount Apo. The fields in the foreground are ready for tilling, after which they will be planted-up with young rice plant ("palay") seedlings. Photo taken in the soft early morning light which is just beginning to illuminate the rice field ridges and the hills in the background.
