Artist Reply: Sharon, It was an overcast day and the statue had just been installed...not yet landscaped wtc. and I wanted to capture the power of the Sioux Indian. This statue was originally sculpted in the late 20's but the people in charge of the museum back then did not want to display a horse with it's belly etc. showing. The plaster cast from which it was made has existed since around 1930. Colin Quinn
