Kate Chopin and the House at Cloutierville (2008)

Kate Chopin lived several years in a house in Cloutierville, Louisiana. Her life there was the source of many of her finest short story collections. Her house became the Bayou Folk Museum. It recently burned to the ground. Kate Chopin, with the Sacred Heart, is shown before the ruins of her home. In the background rises the home as it exited. This is a huge loss for this region. Her home was a pilgrimage site for many in the Woman's Liberation Movement who saw Kate as an early representative.

Ah David!!! Another of your masterpieces full of mystery and imagination and laden with meaningful symbols. I do like that crown of thorns around the heart and the destructive flames leaping up into the air. It's very sad about the fire. Do you think it was arson??
