Dinda from Monkey World

Earlier this year I did two pieces of work for an auction to raise money for the Jim Cronic Memorial Fund at Monkey World in Dorset, England. They are both of very young female orangutans. This is the first, she is called Dinda, which means 'Darling' in Indonesian. She was born at Monkey World, her mother is RoRo who was smuggled from the wild. She didn't suckle Dinda, so the Primate car staff cared for her for the first year of her life. I used Inktense pencils which you can add water to which gives a paint affect. This came in handy for her fur which I used a brush on. Thanks for taking a look, have a great day, Joanne:-)
