A ballpoint pen fantasy from my days of doodling on the bus. I used a perpendicular cross-hatch for the sky, then used stippling to give it more definition. While the planets are planned so that the white of the paper gives them reflection (and an increase darkening about them enhances the "shine"), the stars were added later--correction fluid. ;) Black ballpoint pen on paper, 6"x7"; 1987. In the close-up view is a thinned oil version from 1983 (about the same size on matte board).
