I've been following these two eaglets basically since I could see them peer over their nest. I'd estimate that they are about 4 months old. It's been really cool watching them almost on a daily basis progress maturity wise to the point where they are beginning to test their wings whenever a good gust of wind comes up. I've observed the parents feeding them to the point now where they just land,drop off the prey,and then let them deal with the animal themselves. Ive got a feeling that they're about to fledge within the next two to three weeks. This is at least the fourth year that the mating pair have successfully raised two eaglets. I've seen the parents bring fish,snake,and rabbit as well as what looked like either small muskrat or large rats. Brother or sister looks on. That's some good eatin!
