I was at a local hospital and they have a koi pond there. I noticed this one baby duck and it's momma had set up house. I was worried since I know most ducks have more than one hatchline and there was only one. This place is right in the middle of town, very busy and public. I wanted to take them to a safer place but against my better judgement let nature take it's course. They weren't there when I went back a week later. I just hope a momma duck can tuck the baby under her wing and fly away. I tell myself that's what happened. I like to live in my own little world with my own rules and ignorant musings.
