Cascais I, 2003 9x12" watercolour. Another of my early pieces, this time confiscated by my mother and which now graces her living room wall. Apologies for the very poor photograph.
One of the most famous views of Cascais, where last year took place the World Sailing championships of the Olimpic Classes.
Great watercolor of a place I usually pass by, when I do my joggging at the weekends.

thanks for your comment. You are so lucky to live so close by. I visited regularly when helping with the construction of the Stadio de Luz in 2003, and again while working on the Benfica training complex at Seixal. I haven't been recently and am disappointed that I missed the sailing championships. I have a friend whose office is in St Joao and I haven't seen him lately either. I have another painting in my gallery you may like - same scene but in oils - and hopefully this year or next I will return, stand on the bridge and turn around to face the beautiful house / chateau that is behind you when you look out at this scene.
Thanks again for you comments. If you would like to see some of my photos from Lisbon/Cascais, visit my website and look in the photo section.
