Carrie's Colours

Another special piece. An acquaintance from work asked if I could paint an abstract for her bedroom. She knew the size, colours and type of effect, so I worked with this and produced six sketches. She chose this one, and it took a long time for me to get the exact shades that she needed. But eventually the piece was completed and unfortunately although she promised, I've never received the photo of it hanging at her home. Maybe she thought I was being kinky asking for a photo of her bedroom! Anyway, it had no titel until a couple of month's later when I chose this snappy rhyme, which summed up the painting's origin. Carrie was also my first watercolour student and you can see her first effort at www.worldtraveller.me.uk in the services section. Oil on gallery wrapped canvas, 1000 x 600 mm. 2005.
