The Gulf War or Persian Gulf War (2 August 1990 – 28 February 1991) was a conflict between Iraq and a coalition force from 34 world nations authorized by the United Nations (UN) and led primarily by the United States in order to return Kuwait to the control of the Emir of Kuwait. In Los Angeles, the atmosphere was tense. I spraypainted this mural in two days focusing the two world powers and melees into a chessboard strategum layout, giving God the final judgement of all actions portrayed and thus displayed by international authorities* Los Angeles Times covered the artwork painted during this week. The owners which were from Iraq, out of shear fear of terrorist retaliations, whitewashed over the painting the fifth day but the memory was already captured* HR MPC 1990
