Broken Ammonite Detail # 2

This small study is one of a large series of 8x8 paintings inspired by fossil forms. This particular piece shows a section of a broken ammonite enlarged to the point of abstraction. It is a highly textured piece on canvas. The painting continues on the edges of the canvas and as such is ready to hang.
