Jester

Copyrighted to me. period Sorry about the really bad picture quality, I didn't realize until it was too late that I had uploaded the wrong version of this guy. Next month I'll upload the better of the two scans. ^_^

Yeah I see what you mean. At first glance on your post I'm like.. ACK! Another meanie?? But you have a reason. Anywho, yeah, the original drawing doesn't look this 'jumpy'. I should upload the better version. I meant to upload the better one, but clicked on the wrong one, and then later realized that the good one was too large (in size, I think it was over 1000 pixels wide) I wanted this to be highly detailed, but in black & white. My first real experiment into the comic type inking. Which I can say I didn't do to well. But I still love this guy!

I was going to say that this "sucks" - but it sort of chews and gnaws instead don't it ! There is always a problem with pen and ink drawings on computer sites, as the screen contrast always loses the fine detail that one sees when looking at paper in the right lighting conditions. One of the best ways to combat this is to keep the drawing simple. Too many lines without a variant of colour to break them up do tend to make the subject blend into the background rather than jump out and hit you betweeen the eyes.
