I remember reading Terry Pratchetts Carpe Jugulum a while ago, in that book it said that when a phoenix hatches it takes the form of the first bird it sees. That got me thinking; what if the first be-winged creature it saw was not exactly a regular bird? In this drawing I tried to capture the phoenix as it is rising from the ashes in a fiery inferno.
