Midnight Dreamer Studio *My pencil (on bristol board) rendition of Marco Hietala, bass guitar/vocals for Nightwish, my most loved band ever.... now I have a huge respect for all you portrait artists, this was my third attempt at drawing him and lets just say it was super difficult for me to even get this close haha : ) Let me know what you think! ~Watch him in action~

I like your style, I agree you should get some oils and canvas, any acid free canvas will work, I stretch my own from used painter drop cloths so I can have realy large pieces, I stretch them after I finish them, so I can roll them up when I am not working on them, acrylics are good too, oil is a whole new world though, hope you try it.

LEAH YOU WILL BE FANTASTIC WITH A BRUSH AND PAINT.I TEACH PAINTING AND DRAWING BUT AUSTRALIA TOO FAR TO GET FACE TO FACE WITH YOU BUT IF YOU WANT TO GIVE IT A GO I'LL HELP YOU ANY WAY I CAN. START WITH BLACK AND WHITE BECAUSE YOU UNDERSTAND THE TONES IN SKETCHING.ACRYLIC WILL BE EASY TO HANDLE. GOOD LUCK.CAN'T WAIT TO SEE WHAT YOU CREATE.THE CHALLENGE WILL EXCITING FOR YOU. PS. I LOVE AMY LEE TOO !!!!
