very van gogh ' ish but beautiful

Artist Reply: If you go to vangoghgallery.com and click on Impact of Art you will see that I have been dubbed the American Van Gogh. Van Gogh's strokes are dashes while mine are curled. I have a trademark for this style "squiggleism" that is like pointilism. So it was my intention to have a touch of van gogh, but with my own style. I do some paintings that are inspired by Van Gogh because I have been given that title and it is my way of paying tribute to Van Gogh but also doing my own style. My regular works are not van goghish. Van Gogh's strokes are like a quick tapping of piano notes while my strokes are like the note with your foot on the pedal.
