portrait of man

12"x14" acrylic on board. Started out trying to paint a portrait of my idea of Jesus. I wanted to paint someone all encompassing, and ethereal. But somehow it turned out looking like a homeless surfer dude who's got caught in too many waves. Oh, well, maybe that could still be Jesus. Anyway this is just a sketch of an imagined face that popped out of my head when I was thinking about Jesus and what he meant to me. I'm still pondering that thought so I'll try painting another version later.

I love this, once again because of its expressive quality, excellent work my friend

Not sure I agree about the homeless surfer bit John but even if I did I doubt Jesus would object. He wasn't about riches or at least not earth bound riches & wealth. This works superbly in my world.
