Bluejay in Winter

This was my feeble attempt at tryint to get used to useing the watercolor tube versus watercolor pencils. Remember I am a rank beginner :) * Note: I believe the original photo came from a Sherry Nelson Art Book.

This is excellent and for a relatively new watercolor artist you demonstrate skill and alot of natural talent well worth developing further. I really like the composition and color tones in this painting. It isnt easy doing birds as subjects and harder in watercolors.I have difficulty with watercolors at times and work with acrylics which I can compensate and make corrections,Watercolors require more careful work, which you do well. Good job!

Betty, you did a great job! The more you paint, the better you will get acquainted with your art materiels... and the better you will paint!

Artist Reply: Well starting at age 62 does not give you the biggest head start LOL but I guess it is better late than never :) Thanks for your comment. Betty
