Itching Ibis

The White Ibis (Eudociumus Albus) is known for the red face, long curving red bill, and beautiful blue eyes. Although the adult appears to be white all over, the tips of their wings are black and usually only visible in flight. Have you ever had an itch you just couldn’t reach? This fellow was having a real time of it hopping from one foot to the next trying to scratch under his chin. Photographed in Lake County, Florida.
